Art and music are important to our community. Kinston's Arts Center features
four galleries, which change exhibits on a six week schedule, as well as a
gallery shop that showcases artwork and gift items. The Council sponsors
art exhibitions, concerts, annual competitions, as well as art, music and
dance classes.
Kinston's public library offers state-of-the art technology and information
services, including word processing and a multi-user local area network
center for public use along with outstanding fiction and nonfiction
collections.
Herritage Place is Lenoir Community College's genealogical research center
and has an excellent local history museum.
An outstanding potpourri of music is available year round. If you pefer
concerts by the North Carolina Symphony held in the Grainger Hill
Performing Arts Center or the monthly Eastern N.C. Bluegrass Associations
programs your ears are sure to be pampered.
